What personal data we process

We process your personal data because you use our services or because you provide it to us yourself:

First and last name, address details (billing and delivery address), email address, phone number, order and payment details, data about your activity on our website, IP address, browser and device data, and correspondence with our customer service.

We do not process special or sensitive personal data. However, when you place or collect an order, we may ask you to confirm your age or show valid ID, because we only sell to people aged 18 and over. We do not keep copies of ID documents.

Why we process this data and on what legal basis

To process your order, deliver it or have it ready for collection, and to keep you informed about it. Legal basis: performance of the contract.

To handle payments and prevent fraud. Legal basis: performance of the contract and legitimate interest.

To meet our legal obligations, such as the statutory tax retention obligation and age verification. Legal basis: legal obligation.

To improve our website and, with your consent, to send you newsletters or offers. Legal basis: consent or legitimate interest. You can always unsubscribe via the link at the bottom of every email.

How long we keep data

We do not keep your data longer than necessary. We keep order and invoice data for seven years because of the statutory tax retention obligation. We keep account data for as long as your account is active. We keep newsletter data until you unsubscribe.

Sharing with third parties

We do not sell your data. We only share it with parties needed to provide our services, including Shopify (our online shop platform), MyParcel and the carriers that deliver your parcel, our payment service providers and our accountants. We conclude data processing agreements with these parties. Where data is processed outside the European Economic Area, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.

Cookies

Our website uses functional cookies that are needed for the shopping basket and checkout to work, as well as analytics and marketing cookies to measure how the site is used and to make adverts more relevant. We ask for your consent in advance for non-functional cookies. You can change your preferences at any time and delete cookies in your browser settings.

Your rights

You have the right to access your personal data and to have it corrected or deleted. You also have the right to withdraw your consent, the right to object to processing and the right to data portability. Send your request to service@rokersbenodigdheden.com. We will respond within four weeks. To verify your request, we may ask you to confirm your identity.

If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) via autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
