Clean regularly

Wipe the inside dry monthly. Crumbs and tobacco residue affect both smell and taste.

Keep dry

Avoid moisture. A case left in the bathroom or in a coat pocket in the rain won't last as long.

Replace filters on time

For Denicotea holders, every 5-10 cigarettes. A saturated filter no longer functions.

Condition the leather

Apply leather balm twice a year. The leather will remain supple and will not creak.

01 How many cigarettes fit in a standard case?

The best-selling sizes hold 18-20 cigarettes (king size). Slim cases hold 12-14. For regular size we have cases for 10 to 24 cigarettes, ask in store for the right size for your brand.

02 Which filter size fits my Denicotea holder?

Denicotea holders use their own filter size (7mm or 9mm depending on the model). The original filters are always in stock. If in doubt, bring your holder along and we'll find the right type.

03 How often should I replace the filter in my holder?

Every 5 to 10 cigarettes. A saturated filter lets tar through and you can taste it. Cigar smokers replace it after every cigar. Pipe smokers: after every bowl of tobacco.

04 What is the difference between a cigarette pouch and a cigarette case?

A pouch is usually flat, often made of leather; a case is cylindrical or box-shaped and clicks shut. Pouches are more discreet in your pocket, cases protect better against breakage.

05 Can I clean a leather case in the dishwasher or washing machine?

Absolutely not. Leather warps, discolours and loses its coating. Wipe with a slightly damp cloth and use leather conditioner. For metal: warm soapy water and dry thoroughly.

06 Do you also have cases for roll-your-own cigarettes?

Yes, Mascotte and Champ make slim cases specifically for hand-rolled sizes. We also have cases with a compartment for papers and filters, all in one.

07 Are there cases with a built-in lighter?

Classic combination cases (case + Zippo holder or flint lighter) are available in limited numbers. We have a few vintage and modern versions in stock, just ask in store.
